WHAT WILL I DO?

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

  • Self rescue
  • Recognising and managing stress in other divers
  • Emergency management and equipment
  • Rescuing panicked divers
  • Rescuing unresponsive divers

Course consists of two theory lessons in the classroom, one practical session in the pool, and training in the ocean. These training segments are performance based, meaning we will spend as much time necessary with you to make sure you get it right.

We will use lot of new interesting equipment such as a pocket mask to practice in-water resuscitation. During exercises, you will work with an oxygen unit, floats, marker buoys and CPR mannequins. You will learn how to make an Emergency Assistance Plan which is credited towards your next adventure – PADI Divemaster Course.
